Volatility on markets continue as Bears stay in control.
Global Indexes
S&P 500
The S&P 500 dipped below the 3900 level with a gap and hammer candle. We will have to see what happens today with confirmation of a turning candle and a possible exhaustion gap.
NASDAQ
The NASDAQ has a similar candle and gap.
DAX
The DAX also made a gap down that looks more like a continuation gap.
HANG SENG
The HANG SENG just keeps on trending lower.
NYSE & NASDAQ Stocks
FedEx Corporation
An earnings warning by FedEx made it drop 21% for the day with a large gap. I had a look at the drop, so far, from the previous top and found it to be 51% (Previous top not on chart shown).
Mastercard Inc
Mastercard is still correcting, and it is now approaching strong long-term support at $304. If that level does not hold …. deep trouble!
JSE Stocks
JSE All Shares
The JSE All Shares is following global markets lower. Notice that the trend factor is also turning red.
Steinhoff International Holdings
Steinhoff stole the limelight last week as the worst performer on the JSE. I once owned a share that fell from R120 to 1 cent. Every time it fell more, everyone said it could not go lower …. believe me, IT CAN!
